Bio



Liz Vacco is a Brooklyn-based performer and choreographer. She grew up in Stow, Massachusetts and graduated from Yale in 2000 with honors in Theatre Studies.  Throughout her four years at Yale, she was an active member of Yaledancers and served as the organization's co-president and treasurer.

Since moving to New York, she has been active in the New York theater and dance communities, performing with Les Freres Corbusier, The Collapsable Giraffe, Fovea Floods, Floating Brothel, One Year Lease, Sidra Bell NY and the Hangar Theater and interning with the Wooster Group. She has collaborated on all Immediate Medium pieces since 2002 by creating, performing, and choreographing, and currently serves as IM's Managing Director.

Additionally, she teaches dance, theater and yoga to young children at P.S. 214 through the NYC Ballet Bridges Program, at Discovery Programs on the Upper West Side, and through Let’s Dance Brooklyn. She has also worked for the non-profit organization, The Children's Aid Society, implementing and expanding the after-school theatre program at P.S. 5.
